Willow is a gorgeous ball of floof with the most majestic tail and soulful eyes. She loves to play chase the mouse with the wand toy and practice hunting ping pong balls and pom-poms. Willow and foster buddy, Juniper, were part of a backyard colony. Trapped as older kittens, both kitties are still making great progress in building their confidence around humans. While they are not (and may never be) lap cats, they are super sweet and interested in whatever you do. Both of these ladies love to play and love treats even more and will happily let you pet them while they enjoy a tasty dried shrimp treat!
They are a bonded pair and will need to be adopted together. Willow is a sweet, cautious, purr machine who loves belly rubs from the safety of a perch, cat bed, or box. Because she is a quiet, shy kitten, Willow would do best with experienced, patient adopters who are willing to carry on the work of socializing her and her friend, Juniper.
The ideal adoptive family group would consist of people who are 100% committed to establishing consistent routines, playing with her daily, to build confidence and mitigate play aggression, providing her with an environment that has hiding places to feel safe and also places out in the open to challenge her boundaries. A small, secure room that she can make her base camp for the first few weeks with her sister, is a must. From this base camp, ideally, her adopter will gently allow her to feel safe, work daily on getting her used to petting and handling, and will enjoy the challenge of seeing this beautiful kitten grow in confidence over time in response to their loving, consistent care. Calm, older children only. Her estimated date of birth is May 1, 2020. Bio# EP006
