As you can see by this sweet guy's photos, Ransom loves to be close to his people – whether on your chest with his head tucked under your chin or on your lap. Be prepared for a lot of love from this wonderful companion kitty. Ransom is a talker, assertive, social, affectionate, easy-going and did I mention that he's a lap cat? Ransom would do fine with kids who have had cats in their lives before and/or a calm, cat-friendly dog but he would prefer to be the only cat.
Ransom lived a tough life before coming to Island Cat. He has a bullet in his left hind leg behind his knee that is an incidental finding and unlikely to cause any problems. Ransom also has a hyperthyroid and suspected inflammatory bowel disease (IBS) that is currently managed with medications and a prescription diet. He is doing very well since his rescue in the summer of 2019. While he loves his foster family, he eagerly awaits a permanent home that he can call his own. We estimate Ransom was born in 2012. Bio# MH001
