Max is full of life and affection. This fine-looking young cat is docile, playful, and enjoys being picked up. Max is also blind in his remaining eye or has very limited sight. Despite this, Max follows his caretaker, responds to her voice, and is happy to be on her shoulder. It is amazing to watch him play with toys. He is adept at following the toy by the sound of it movement across the floor — even a toilet paper roll cannot escape his ears. As he has rehabilitated from the injury or infection that caused him to lose his eye, he has gone from being a total lap cat in his early rehab days to expanding his curiosity to explore the greater part of his foster home as he's learned to adapt to his limited sight. He has mastered the stairs, plays with all sorts of toys, and confidently jumps onto the bed to lie near the family cat. Max would be a wonderful companion for someone who is looking for an affectionate, sweet companion cat. He would be fine with another cat who is accepting of his interest in being friends and he may accept a mellow dog friend. Or, he would be fine as the solo pet if provided plenty of affection from and playtime with his guardian. He would likely do best in a quieter household with calm children 12 or over. He was born in October 2020.
