Juniper is an elegant and long-legged kitty. She is a high energy huntress of all toys, but particularly sparkly pom-poms! When she is not grooming her sister, Willow, or snoozing on her back, belly up, she loves to climb to the top of the cat tower and survey her kingdom.
Juniper loves gentle pets from the safety of her cat bed and will purr for you if you sing to her! She and Willow were part of a backyard colony, trapped as older kittens, and are making great progress in building their confidence around humans. While they are not (and may never be) lap cats, they are super sweet and are interested in whatever you do. Both of these ladies love to play and love treats even more and will happily let you pet them while they enjoy a tasty dried shrimp treat, Juniper will eat right out of your hand, purring all the while!
The girls are a bonded pair and will need to be adopted together. Juniper would do well in a home with cat-experienced and patient adults or older children who are 100% committed to establishing consistent routines, playing with her daily to build confidence, providing her with an environment that has hiding places to feel safe and also places out in the open to challenge her boundaries. A small, secure room that she can make her base camp for the first few weeks is a must. From base camp, ideally, her adopter will gently allow to her feel safe, work daily on getting her used to pets and handling, and will enjoy the challenge of seeing this elegant kitten grow in confidence over time in response to their loving, consistent care.
Her estimated date of birth is April 18, 2020. Bio# EP007
