Edamame (Eddie) is a playful young cat who loves to chase after flies, climb to observe passerby’s in the windows, and nap on and around his favorite people. Eddie takes time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he loves to curl up on laps, legs, and keyboards, and he will demand to be picked up when he isn’t getting enough cuddles. We call him our purralegal because he always comes running when it’s time to start a zoom call. Eddie loves to play and roughhouse with our other cat Sushi, but unfortunately Sushi is an elderly cat who isn’t able to play with the same energy. We are looking to find Eddie a new home because Sushi’s health is declining and she needs calm and quiet. Eddie would probably do well with a younger cat who likes to pounce and play like he does. Eddie has done very well with our baby/toddler and we don’t have any concerns with him playing around kids. He likes to have some space for zoomies, and a place to climb is a plus. Eddie is very food motivated- he likes to sneak food if it’s left out on the counter, but he responds to treats and has learned to sit on command. Eddie doesn’t scratch our leather couches but he does like fabrics, and needs a good scratching post/tree or two. Eddie is a very loyal and loving cat. We don't know how he would do with a dog since he has not had experience with a dog at this point. Eddie's date of birth is approximately March 2018. Kitty Bio #3932KO-Ed.
