Charlie is a social sweetheart who is looking for a cat savvy adopter. He does spook easily at loud, unfamiliar noises and needs a patient home that will slowly transition him into their new space. He loves to be brushed and sit close to his person while enjoying a long leisurely movie or TV program. It may take a few days or even a week to see this side of Charlie. He can be timid to start, so patience and gentleness are extremely important qualities he is looking for in his new person.
Charlie was abandoned in a parking lot and lived on his own for four months. We do not know his early history, but he can be a little “hand shy”, so there is a possibility of early hardships. As much as he loves to have head rubs and ear scratches, he can get overstimulated.
Interactive toys will bring Charlie running to you. He loves to pounce on his feather toy, and he never wants playtime to end. He also responds exceptionally well to treats, but he is a husky boy, so they must be used sparingly.
Due to his sensitive nature and tendency to get overstimulated he needs a quiet adult only home. He would probably not do well with a dog, but a kitten may possibly be a good companion for this boy.
We estimate that he is 4-5 years old. Bio#3801-PH
